Where You Are - Ladybug Landslide
For those of you who know me or have followed my blog for a while, you’re probably aware of my dedication to some artists, especially Ladybug Landslide. Marshall Lee, who is Ladybug Landslide, puts an incredible amount of himself into his music. His earlier albums and releases are mainly acoustic and sort of melodic; you hum along and tap your foot, and, while the lyrics are incredibly personal, touching and well written, the songs are soft. Well, Where You Are, the first of a series of singles to be released in the next few weeks/months, is something really new and refreshing from Ladybug Landslide.
These singles, well this single, has a new feeling, with some of the same things that make Ladybug Landslide so… good. The instrumentals are much fuller: not just an acoustic guitar and something to tap your toe to. When the song starts, though it feels quieter, more melodic, softer, with the echo and only a guitar, you can tell that it’s going to build into something incredible, and you’re definitely not let down. The drums come in and give the song a beat that seems to add layers to the song, not just a background tapping. And, although I seem to have been talking down about toe-tapping and all, this song is catchy. Incredibly, actually. And the vocals. Obviously one of the most important pieces of a song. Marshall doesn’t let you down… ever. It’s obvious how much time was put into the recording and of this song and it pays off.
All of the sounds, instruments, vocals, beats, layers, blend together so perfectly on this song giving it a very alternative, kind of, but not entirely, pop-punk sound. The build-up and progression do not, at all, leave you wanting for anything else. You will have this song stuck in your head, but I promise you, you won’t mind at all. Be sure to buy Ladybug Landslide’s upcoming singles! They’re really going to be incredible.

Just before my wedding (from left to right) Dylan Rowe, Chad Sugg, Me, Jamie White, and Cody Russell …with his little boy Brooks as our ring bearer.
Just getting some pictures back from my wedding 3 weeks ago. This is the reason (along with making the move to upstate New York) that I’ve been taking some time off from music. However I just bought a bunch of new gear so once we get moved into our new house it’s go time on new music. Keep an ear off, I mean out…or something.
I will post this song until people get sick of it.
Which isn’t possible.

Ladybug Landslide - Moving On (feat. Backseat Goodbye)
You may have walked out on everything you love, but I’m gonna keep on moving on.
One of my old songs from my 2nd release. I like this song because it’s pretty raw, dynamic and the ending is still a favorite of mine.
I love this song.
The acoustic version of What’s The Point by Ladybug Landslide is incredible.
Go buy it on iTunes if you haven’t already.
Along with “Remember to Breathe,” a Dashboard Confessional cover.
Here is a preview of three rough mixes that I’m working on. It possibly could be a new E.P or something.
Get at thissssss. Yes.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted this, so here it is.
